Open & close grasshopper using matlab

Hi all,

Currently I am trying to find a way to open and close grasshopper from Matlab, perhaps through dos command.

Can matlab somehow interact with grasshopper in this way?

Would there be a direct command from matlab or have to be done through dos?

Currently I link grasshopper with matlab through csv file. 

But I need to be able to open and close Rhino and Grasshopper from matlab for optimization purpose that is done in matlab. 

Any advise would be much appreciated.
