algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

Having some issues offsetting a curve on a surface.  I can forsee some issues I will have trying to boolean out the aperature, as well.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

I guess it works only if you project the curve onto the surface before offsetting. But I guess you are looking for this solution with planar curves?!

I got an idea, don't know if it fits your needs, but here it is.

How did you get the information for the uv input for both curveonsrf components?
These are the Edit Points of the curves.

Hey,

I took a look at both definitions, and very interesting ways of solving the problem.  Moving further on the planar curve definition, I tried to boolean the offset curves from the surface, but was obviously unsuccessful, but the offset curve booleans from the original curves with ease.  The issue would just be surfacing or the boolean for both.

Also, the end goal I would like to adjust each aperture according to certain parameters, probably a line that delineates the program within.  Then from this information, boolean the aperture through the surface.

Still working on it, I will post any updates!  Thank you for the response, let me know if you have any further ideas!

Regards,

Maggie

Hi Maggie, I think what you want to do is SrfSplit instead of the boolean you mentioned.
