Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am mapping the Gaussian curvature of a surface and because some of the values are completely off-scale I can't get a smooth gradient. Of course I can manually control the keys on the color slider, but every time I change the uv divisions or the surface I have to tweak the color slider keys again.

So far I have changed it to logarithmic scale (bottom right image). Does anyone have a better way of doing this?

Process your numbers before they go into the gradient. That way the gradient can stay linear.
