algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I need to add all the 0's together and so on in a series of list all the way to what ever my computer can handle. for this reason list item and mass addition will not work as there must be a simpler way.

There are 11 lists but the data inside a list could be as high at 10,000 how can I ad all the 0's 1's 2's etc together to get the sum total of all the lists.

Hope this makes sense.

To clarify: Do you mean you need a total count of the number of 0's... the number of 1's and so on?

Is that why the mass addition component will not work for your needs?

Hi,

This was exactly what i was after, do you have an answer for this? or does anyone?

Thanks,

J

i am not sure what the question is.

Are you possibly asking the same as me here? Check the answers I got.

If not, attaching an image or file could possibly help.

Nikos, AB,

Thanks for the replys, I woke up this morning and seem to have it working now.

I have attached the script and screenshot and jpeg. This is supposted to simulate shading on a specific area over a full day by means of mesh colouring.

Would apriciate anyone checking it over as I belive the result are not quiet right. I would expect the bottom left hand corner to be darker. etc.....

Thanks again.

Rich.

Hi Richard,

The 2 geometry components on your file are empty. I think you should either post the 3dm file, or (better) internalise data inside the 2 components.

cheers,

nikos

Sorry,

Busy day, seem to be having trouble internallising one piece of data. anyhow i'll send the model too.

Thanks again.

this or the notorious bug of internalized data. sometimes they dont ''follow'' the definition.

i have version 0.90075 and it still happens.

i thought it was fixed.
