Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I would like to simulate the shape that is supposed to come out of a "glass mould" that I have prototyped with wood and aluminum bended sheets (see attached image).

The prototype is build to experiment different shapes with Polystirene / acrilic glass. PS or AG are placed in the oven over the "glass mould" to achieve the desidered shape.

Since I'd like to explore different configurations in the "glass moulding", I would like to understand if there's a way to simulate the softening of the glass / PS / AG sheet, once placed over the mould.

I was thinknig of designing in Rhino the mould with the aluminum ribs, and use Grasshopper (together with Kangaroo ?) to simulate the sheet softening induced by heat.

I don't pretend to simulate the thermal behavior, of course, but to quickly understand the shape that's coming out of the mould without physically building different moulds.

Maybe I can do it quickly even without GH, something like a cloth over the glass mould?

I don't understand completely the capabilities of GH, even less Kangaroo's... Maybe someone has already experienced something like this?

Thanks
