Miura Ori origami model - quads problem!

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to model a Miura Ori origami pattern based on the Kangaroo Example Files by Daniel Piker (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/kangaroo/page/example-files)
The problem i'm encountering is when I come to apply the hinge force. The Miura Ori pattern is composed of parallelograms which (I believe) I can not trianglulate since I'm trying to model the behaviour of a Rigid origami model where the faces cannot be deformed. Thus, since the hinge force operates via triangles, there is obviously a problem.

I was wondering - Is there a way to apply a hinge force between quads?

Since i'm only modelling part of the pattern, there are half quads (triangles) on the edges and I tried to use those with the hinge force.. but I haven't been successful as yet, and the model still does not work.  If anyone can help i'd appreciate it!
