algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I suspect I'm having some uv domain issues using the map to surface component, but I'm running into my experience limit... I have a target surface that is a trapezoid and a base surface that is rectangular. The resulting mapping has the sticking out at the corners. What should my next step be?

Your target surface is a trimmed surface. You probably patched the four edges in rhino or trimmed with other geometry. You essentially get a rectangular surface with the excess trimmed away. While simple in creation this is not a very good representation of a trapezoid if you want to use it as a coordinate space. The target coordinate space for any mapping, subdivision, transform in GH will be that of the untrimmed surace. You will need to account for the trim yourself or...

Just create a 4 corner surface and everything should map fine.

Thats the ticket! A thousand thanks!
