algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
I am trying to use lunchbox's random quad panels to panelize a curved surface. For some reason the result keeps turning out jagged whenever the panels hit the curved area. Is there any way to get around it? Please see image below.

I can see two types of "jaggedness" in your picture.
The translucent red "surfaces" are jagged, because they are preview mesh representations for the actual NURBS surface. They are jagged to speed up display times. You can modify the mesh precision in the top right of the canvas window.
Your panels lift in some places. I don't know if this is intentional.
Thanks for replying. No the lifting part is what I am referring to as being Jagged. They are not intentional. For some reason when the "Staggered panels" hit the a rounded corner they become straight panels. I need them to have the same radius as the original shape.
Okay, that's really hard to help with, by only looking at your picture.
My best guess is this: you are extracting twisted boxes from the lunchbox panels. Those boxes can only approximate the original surface curvature to a certain extend. You would need a "box" with more than only the four CP's at he corners of the panel to account for your original surface.
Since you seem to have simple surfaces as panels, why don't you just use the subdivided original surface?
...to get more precise responses, posting your definition or at least the relevant part of it might help.
