algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all,

I have a question. I created a set of "unrolled" surfaces by a grid of points. Now I want to be able to match up the UV grids of this surfaces by the points I used to create them. Eventually I want to remap 3D data to this unrolled surfaces, so keeping the uv information would defenitly help.

It seems that the "points to surface" and the "network surface" commands both mess up the uv grid of the surface. With the interpolate samples, the grid shifts at the ends of the isocurves and with this option off, the whole UV lines are shifted that the different surfaces don't match up anymore.

What are the alternatives? Are there other blocks available that build surfaces, but in a more rigid manner?

Additional question... How are actually the uv grids generated on a surface?
