Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm having some issues with creating a panelled surface using the box morph component.

I basically have created a panel which comprises of a simple box with a circular aperture whose diameter varies based on it's distance from a point.

I then have morphed this panel on to a subdivided surface.

What has happened is that the panels on the wall geometry do not respond to the point, only the original panel. I understand why this is happening (because I'm just replicating this element on the surface.

My question is how would I go about having the diameter of the apertures on the wall geometry respond to the point to achieve a varying diameter across the surface.

Cheers,

Matt.

You need to calculate the distance from the point not to the original panel, but to the sub-surface patches.
