is osm data georeferenced in elk?

Hey guys,

im trying to set up a map with osm data using elk.

I can only download parts of the map i want (i guess my internet connection is to slow), so that i have to stich them together in rhino.

Heres my problem: I thought the data were georeferenced, so that i only have to bake the different osm files and everything would be fine. But they are overlaying and i dont have a clue how i could stich them properly.
