algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello,
I was trying to model a chess piece but the problem is that the interpolated curve I use keeps changing once I try to scale it's middle portion. The definition is really long so I can't put it up. Basically I have divided the chess piece into three parts. Base, mid and top. I needed to get a mesh UV so I could deconstruct it for tweening purposes but wasn't able to with the model. What I did was merge the three parts, contoured it and deconstructed it into its component parts using 'pdecon'. That gave me a profile with points which i connected with an interpolated curve.
When I try to go back and scale the mid section of the model the interpolated curve gets all weird on me. I have attached an image of the before and after scaling.

Hi Perry,
can you post a reduced version of the file which shows only the problematic components? You can internalise data at any floating and input parameter and then discard all the components to the left of that parameter. That's a good way to create a small (albeit less flexible) version of a file.
