internalised data gets lost when copying from one file to another

Hi!

I have internalised some geometry in a brep component and copied this component in another file. in the original file it works fine, in the other one says it's null... Any pointers? Thanks! (using grasshopper_0.9.56.0)

me too, why? i do not known.

happened to me as well...

Copy-paste in the same file works fine? Saving and opening works fine?

Are you copy-pasting between different GH files in the same Rhino session, or across Rhino sessions?

Hi, David! Unfortunately i can't remember what i was working on back then and exactly how it was actig, but i tried it now (on another computer 'though, with build 0.9.0075), and it acts like this:
- copy-paste in the same file works fine

- closing and opening the file (while gh keeps running) still works fine

- closing and opening the file (while unloading GH but not closing Rhino) still works fine

- pasting the component in GH in a parallel Rhino instance doesn't work (says null)

- opening the file in a parallel Rhino instance doesn't work (says null)

- closing all Rhino sessions and reopening the GH file doesn't work (says null)
Hope this helps, thanks for the support!
I attached the file in case it helps (it's the highest component on the canvas).

Hi, I have the same problem. When I reopen the file, I don't have the geometry, but the BREP is not empty!

any suggestion?

How were the breps made in the first place? Through Grasshopper logic or were they imported from the 3DM file? I really need to replicate this problem to get any further trying to solve it.

Anything you can upload in order to reproduce would be most welcome.

I have the same problem quite often. Usually happens when someone sends me 3dm file with geometry and gh file operating on it. When I open the rhino file first and grasshopper later, I have to set the geometry back to gh manually. (the same happens when I open gh first and then rhino file).

PS. The rhino geometry is made manually within rhino.

Hi, Finally I found a geometry with this error. Probably you can open this file and see a brep, but if you copy and paste in another definition you loose it.
