algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys,

I have imported a geometry in Rhino and i m trying to apply it to a Brep component in GH. It doesn't work. Is it impossible? If so, is there a way I can convert a geometry into Brep?

Thanks

what type of geometry rhino?

Saved in 3ds max as ".obj" and then I imported this in rhino.

Please check info to properties panel.

No need to check really... OBJs will import as meshes. Meshes aren't BReps.

You can convert a Mesh to BRep in Rhino but this will essentially just create a (way more complex) planar NURBS surface for each mesh face. As long as your objects are low poly boxlike things, this might be OK.

.obj comes in as a mesh(s). If you use the native MeshtoNurb command it will take each mesh face and convert it into a surface which is pretty useless for most things. You can use T-splines or resurf plugins to convert the mesh into a surface. The cleaner your mesh is (all quads, no triangles) the better the conversion.
