Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I find that I often try to use my 3D mouse (from Space Control) while in Grasshopper, and then I come back to reality :doesn't work.

Those mice work well in 2D also to do all the zooming and panning very fluently , and I use them a lot when doing 2D detailing work.

Since the knob movements can be programmed to emulate keyboard entries, then if Grasshopper could use keyboard keys for "zoom in", "zoom out", "Left", "Right" , "Up" and "Down", then I could make a custom config file for my mouse and fly above my definitions.

I managed to do it in Crysis 2 ; I can tell you I bust more aliens then ever before !

Cheers

Done. I didn't put them in the menu as menu shortcuts have certain rules attached to them (they can't be "Shift+H" for example, or just "P"). I've preprogrammed the 4 arrow keys for panning and PageUp/PageDown for zooming. I'll need to make a UI for this in the preferences so you can change both what keys trigger navigation and to what extend (strength of panning/zooming), but I don't know if I'll get around to that for the next release.

First let's see if what I have so far actually works. I don't have a SpaceMouse so I can't test this. I did visit the 3DConnection website but their Windows SDK is currently not available. That would of course be the neatest solution.
