How would Timers and Data Recording work on this example?

Hello everyone,

can someone briefly explain how a timer and a data recorder will work on this simple scenario?

I have an Ellipse connected with two sliders for the R1 and R2 values, both sliders has MIN and MAX values, Ellipse is then connected to an "Area" plug to calculate its surface area..

What I want is for a Timer to run all the possibilities of the two sliders while the data monitor records both Area and R1, R2 values, so I can find where is the largest surface area has been formed and with what variables of R1 and R2..

PS: I know of course it will be at the largest values for R1 and R2 but it's a hypothetical example to know how it works and apply it to more complex algorithms..

This reminds me of the time I wanted to do batch calculations with Galapagos. I have found that with Galapagos, once you have more that 8 sliders it starts to struggle and 12 sliders is pretty much the maximum that can be run effectively. So I thought of slicing up the problem I had in little chunks and doing batch calculations on Galapagos. 

To that end I worked with timers, data dams, and data recording components to record the states of the sliders once a predefined calculation time had passed. However I wasn't even able to make the data dam work with a timer, and much less make Galapagos start on another batch once it had finished. 

It'd be nice if Galapagos had some some kind of batch support.
