how to make periodic minimal surface using only grasshopper??

I come across the s'-s" Schoen's Hybrid Triply Periodic Minimal Surface, and i am exploring the potential of taking it as an architecture.

1)Does anyone know how to create that periodic surface in rhino? I dont even know how to draw the 1st piece in rhino, coz its hard for me to determine the geometry by that picture. Can anyone help?It is better for me to work on it only in grasshopper.

And i studied this tutorial which give me some idea working on it:http://www.cerver.org/2010/grasshopper-parametric-schoen-f-rd/

2)If it is possible for me to control the in-between solid and void so it becomes something like http://www.indiana.edu/~minimal/archive/Triply/genus3/P-animation/w.../the attached picture

plz provide me the definition or teach me how to change the definition provided in the website above, coz i am not really familiar with GH, thanks.

if dont hav the definition, just tell me if its possible will do, many thanks.

It's some surfaces defined on a mathematical principle... so the answer is yes.

The general approach to minimal surfaces is:

1) define boundaries and connecting surfaces as a mesh

2) relax the mesh

For the relaxation there are several ways. One is using kangaroo. You'll find a ton of information searching this forum for e.g. "minimal surface", "mesh relaxation", "kangaroo"

Funnily enough I am trying to achieve a similar thing at the moment. Using this minimal surface geometry for something like what Toyo Ito did. How did you get on?
