algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I move a sphere in a surface (coordinates u v).
But I wish it did not exceed the limit of the surface.
how to make that ?

I would suggest offsetting the edges of the surface on the surface, create a new surface from those offsets, then reparameterize the surface and use it to create the UV sphere.

If you are asking advice I'll give it: this solution does not need to be coded. In fact the coded version of this task is quite tedious. See the attached GH and give it a try with your surface.
