Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am trying to orient a bunch of a groups of lines onto places on a grid. So one group of lines needs to orient to place 1, another group of lines needs to orient to place 2, etc.

However, the orient command is reaching into each branch and taking each individual curve inside a group and spreading them out over the grid where I am orienting them onto.

If the curves inside each group made up only a single closed shape, then I could get around this problem by making planar surfaces out of them, for example, and then orienting the single surfaces, and then extracting the curves from the oriented surfaces with a brepcomponents. But: the curves are not closed shapes, they are numbers.

How can I group or collapse a branch into a single list item? "Join" doesn't work. Neither does "group"

If you look at the attached file, what should happen is that each square on the grid gets a 0.0 or 1.0 and so on. As it is, it's taking the inner line of the "0" and putting it one place, and then taking the outer line of the "0" and putting it in the next spot, the "point" is in another spot, and so on.

Any ideas?

Try doing it this way

This works! Thank you so much!

Try this one, hope it works,

Btw i found out that some of the sides of the font are missing, maybe try a single line font?

Also a very nice solution, thank you!
