algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi,

i want to convert one brep to mesh with the same uv division.
i'm not familiar with the set mesh option by "mesh brep comp".
so maybe someone can help?

thanks

With MeshFromBREP component youy will get many random triangles. Try this....

dear igor,

many thanks for your help.
very interesting def...

i would like to know more from you!
how can you divid the surface with Lunchbox hexagon cells,
so that the divided surface have the hex cells,
and of course, with the openings.

that would be fine.

thanks in advance.

hi Igor,

I've plug your definition with Marios T. Tsiliakos Adaptive Facade.
so could be also the hexagon cell variant?
what do you think? (:

Explode the brep into individual surfaces, use the "mesh surface" component on them, this will generate a clean mesh and allow you to set the u and v number of subdivision. Then join the resulting meshes back together.

vicente,

that was exactly what i wanted to know.

thanks

and then weld it after. For preporation of smoothing options

This is hexagonal subdivision. But the method has a lack: the density of hexagons strongly increases in places of the greatest curvature....

Pardon...

I has rectified some old errors, has added new ;) and has made the second variant(pavilion)....

wow.

my expectation is exceeded...
first i want to study your definition,
so that i can generate more questions. (-:

e.g. how to merge such shapes into each other,
with associated pattern.

thank you very much igor

hi igor,

is it possible for you to create from your def "MeshPanelizationHex" something like the pict below shows?
