How to divide a curved surface into segments of equal distance?

Hello everybody,

I am quite new to Grashopper and have been trying to solve the following problem for a while now, but neither tutorials nor forum discussions could help me to get it to work.

I bet, it`s just a simple trick, so hopefully you can help me.

I have a curved surface (similar to the one in the attachment), which I need to divide in segments of equal distance through curves.

the curves (u and v direction) shall symbolize beams whose interspaces shall later be filled with a geometric box element. therefore all the interspaces need to be of equal dimension.

I can manage to divide the surface by the number of segments, but I need to divide them by their distance.

I can also pipe the edge curves of the various segments, but I need to give them a rectangular volume. But I seem to have an error in the setup of my sweep command.

Thank you for your help!

I want to receive segments of a same width and height like if you intersect a surface with cutting planes. so basically like a 'frame' that I can stick boxes into.

I hope this explains a bit better, what I want to achieve.

I also attach a Screenshot of a geometry that I manually constructed.

(I know that my final geometry will not have a curvature like at the vertices of the ellipse in the example)

And I will search the forum again as well.

Thanks for your reply!
