Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I'm a newbie to grasshopper, but I have a fairly simple project I'd like to make. It is a lattice structure that is is controlled by three horizontal lines and and a horizontal array of vertical lines (with varied spacing) where the vertices connect. I began drawing this in CAD, but realized my life would be easier to make the jump into a parametric program to give myself more control over the shapes.

I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction for an overall strategy of how to make a very 'global' definition....so that  can move one of the three horizontal lines and the rest of the geometry follows. I'd also like to move the vertical line array using a parabolic slider...but I'm not sure how to achieve the array in grasshopper. When left to my own devices, I find that I'm building it with too many moving parts. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

I've attached a pdf of the CAD drawing to show what I'm after in Rhino....now I'd just like to be able to modify what you see with a few sliders.

Here I used graph components to set the curvature of the intersections

Jonah,

This is great! Is there a way to plug a bezier graph into the line spacing (so that the lines can vary the same way you've done with the points on the three graphs)?

cheers,

marc
