how to build up a plugin with changing locations of Grasshopper.dll

How do I link a assembly (grasshopper.dll) without copying into local project execution  folder, when the versioning of the grasshopper.dll keeps chaning the location of the current grasshopper.dll? Is it still possible to build own plugins without to relink and compile every version change of Grasshopper?

thx in advance

Hi Michael,

this is indeed an unfortunate side-effect of the new installer. I'd just make a copy of grasshopper.dll and GH_IO.dll (and the *.xml) into some folder where you reference them from. Then update the files in there if you want to compile against a new version. Not every release breaks the SDK for all components, so you don't have to keep updating your build against every GH release.
