Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

How does grasshopper create and display its temporary geometry?

How does grasshopper create and display its temporary geometry? Is it possible to create a Rhino plugin that would display geometry in a similar way that grasshopper does?

For example, if I want to transition a bowl designer I am working on and create a dedicated tool for it, how could I show the geometry before it is baked by the user? Does grasshopper use a portion of the RhinoCommon library to do this?

Thanks!

I should have started this under VB, C#, and Python can this be moved? Thanks.

Grasshopper is a Rhino plugin without any special privileges, so yes, whatever Grasshopper does you can do in some other plugin as well.

GH uses a Display Pipeline to draw custom geometry in the PostDrawObjects event.
