How do I use a gradient on a voronoi diagram?

I've been trying to color my voronoi diagram based upon a gradient for a while and I've been failing. I've been trying to make the upper bound and lower bounds just the upper values and lower values of the voronoi then passing it into the gradient. It just stays the same solid color though...

Thanks. How do I actually utilize the custom preview? Is there another type of component I can drag the parameters in so I can continue to use it for other functions?
