algorithmic modeling for Rhino

help with what should be simple plane rotation...???

I'm struggling to locate where things are breaking down in what should be a very straightforward definition. I am trying to make a series of posts along a curve which rotate both in plan and elevation but for some reason the planes do not want to behave uniformly - even before I get to any of the fancy stuff. At one point it appears their directions are in order and in the next, when I do a pComp and draw a line using one of the vectors they are out of sync - for no apparent reason...?

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a quick look. This one's got me totally stumped.

just bumping this one, I should say that the toggling up and down in the picture is desired whereas in the first three or fours at the right of the image don't seem to behaving properly...

Could you post a smaller definition to make it clearer what part you are referring to?
thanks for getting back to me. I thought I had already reduced the definition down..anyways, I since figured a way around the problem. Still, new ones arise trying to align various planes which are all perpendicular to different curves. Any ideas how one might ensure that planes aligned to the z direction are facing the same way?


if the output parameters of the series component were both equal, you'll get your planes to align. or later downstream you can use abs() in an expression for the rotation angle input parameter in the rotate plane component.
