algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey there,

I have a question how to project a grid/curves on a brep, but only on special sides of the brep.

I just want all curves selectable on the inner side of the brep and on the top as shown in this picture.

I got it done for the upper surfaces of the extruded brep, but not for the inner sides of the brep and the upper sides altogether.

I wanna be able to pick only the curves of the inner surface together with the curves on the top.

The same selecting problem occurs if I project curves on the whole brep but always wanna exclude the projected curves on the buttom.

Is there any easy way to select only those special curves on the breps I want and for example always exclude the buttom curves?

Any help is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Martin

Hi.

Something like this?

Yes that's perfect thanks a lot!!!

I modified the model a bit. If someone want to pick more then one surface of breps with an expression and through vectors then this method works pretty good for normal breps from now on.

But for the breps on the edge it doesn't work properly when I just always wanna select the inner and upper surfaces as shown in picture two. I know it is because of the y vector and x vectors of the surfaces I need to pick, but isn't there a component that just flip the vectors so that I can easily select all inner surfaces altogther like I selected all the upper surfaces.
