Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

While optimizing with Galapagos I have selected the “Display all genomes in the Rhino viewport” visualization option. When I lock my computer to let it run, for example over night, Galapagos keeps running, but does not display any genomes in the viewport. (I record Galapagos with a video capture software so I can review the results and use the animation in presentations.) Has anyone else come across this problem? If so, have you found a solution?

If the viewports are not visible then Rhino does not redraw them and thus Galapagos never figures out something needs to be drawn in them. If you want to record viewports you'll need to keep them on screen.

Is this new to revision 14? I used to be able to lock my computer and galapagos would keep displaying Genomes.
