algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi there!
I am extremely new at Grasshopper; so new, in fact, that only in the past few days I have been learning the beginner tutorials and...I'm stuck.
I want to be able to build an external mesh for a building, like the one represented in the picture. My objective is to have the ability to change the thickness, number and orientation of the internal rectangular prisms. However, I don't know where to begin building my definition. Could someone help me?

The basics is a
- top and bottom line,
- find some random points on those and connect them (lots of ways to do that. Search reparametrize, jitter, evaluate curve)
- find the enclosed spaces. that's the hard part. The problem has been discussed in several threads but I can't find the right thread just now. try some creative combination of keywords like region, curves intersect, boolean curves
- RegionUnion all cells, if you don't get a complete outline
- offset or scale the regions you found to make the thickness
- create a PlanarSrf from all your inner cells and the outline
- Extrude the PlanarSrf to get a volume.
Thanks for your answer. I'm not sure I will be able to follow your steps, however. I have some doubts, like what do you mean with finding the enclosed spaces?
Nevertheless, I will try :P
Welcome to
