Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I have created a number of composite curves and I am trying to extrude them along a curve.

It appears that the composite curves are not being fully picked extruded along the intended line/curve. Def attached.

I also am looking to find out what is the most effective way of extruding or sweeping in order to get more control over the geometry.

In the extrusion of the composite curve what point actually controls the composite curves location, ie composite centre of gravity or  the bounding box centre of gravity.

regards

Well ...

1. Troubleshooting  this:

is rather out of question.

2. ISOLATE the problem in a simple def (for instance: THIS is a profile (a "static" one) and THAT is a rail curve, THEN I want to do either this or that etc etc).

3. I would strongly advise to use some decent feature/dimension driven CAD app in order to create families of concrete deck/beam(s) profiles "manually" (the good old way PLUS recording history and using parameters for the steps taken). Find a friend who knows, say, AECOSim and ask for a small demo on that matter (specifically ask what DDD is [Dimension Driven Design]).  Then you can have these in Rhino/GH, define some topology, do the "solid" and if 1M of decks/beams are required rather use instance definitions and plane to plane transformations (that's what the Orient component does) instead of creating 1M clone objects.
