algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

Can someone please help me separate single color values with the polylines from a gradient range on a pattern? The file is attached below.

Any chance of posting a file without the non-standard components?

Hey David,

This is the only file I've been working with the gradient component. Basically i'm looking to extract individual color values as well as the curves, edges or boundaries around them from a gradient. Could you please show me how that may be done with standard components?

I don't understand what it is exactly you're after. I don't have the Ants components installed so your file opens like this:

I can see your polylines and I can see the gradient object, but I don't understand how they are supposed to connect.

Hey David,

Basically what I did was create a pattern on a separate file, internalized it and brought it into this definition (i.e file ants.jpg) and connected it to the ants component which simply culls out certain cells through a color gradient based based on a code that looks at how many cells are facing each other through their center vectors (i.e ants1.5.jpg and ants2.jpg.). Lastly I attempted to cull out a certain color value such as red or orange with their outlines but was only able to cull out based on a larger then or smaller than values which gave me a range and have not been able to grab the outlines (ants3.jpg)
