Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Hello,

So I have a object I want to make it is a grid that is deformed when a sphere is inflated within one of the grid modules (see sketch). I am familiar with how this is done with attractor points, but I want to do it with volumes in Kangaroo, I think the shapes of both the extruded grid and the volumes will be interesting.

In the sketch I have outlined what I think is the process:

1) Created a grid uniform or uneven. Extrude the grid.

2) Assign anchor points at the intersections of the lines/surfaces (I want these to provide some resistance to the inflating volumes). Place the original spheres within the grid.

3)INFLATE!!!

I understand this is what happens, but I am not sure how I tell Kangaroo this is what needs to happen. For instance, I know about mesh/volume collisions but I dont know how/what forces are needed to get this result. Any advice or help would be amazing.

Let me know if I was unclear about certain things.

Hi,

As a starting point I would use this example file.

Your "Distorted" should be 2d mesh plane edges with anchored points
