Hi Olivier,

as far as I can work out from this message, it appears that you have QWhale dlls in the Windows GAC (Global Assembly Cache). These dlls take precedence (I think) over dlls that just anywhere on the disk.

I don't recall if Monkey puts these dlls in the GAC when it installs, but that could be a reason for it being there. The odd things is that it would seem like the GAC assemblies are newer than the Grasshopper assemblies.

I just checked though and I have the exact same dlls in my GAC and it's not causing problems, so maybe I'm totally wrong about this.

I recommend the following:

  1. Go to the Grasshopper install folder, find the 5 QWhale dlls and move them to a different folder somewhere out of sight.
  2. Try Grasshopper, see if it works this time. If yes, you're done, if no, continue with step 3.
  3. Go to the GAC (%systemdrive%\Windows\Assembly) and copy/paste the 5 dlls into the Grasshopper install folder.
  4. Try Grasshopper, see if it works this time. If no, I'm out of ideas for now.
