Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all!

this seams to be an easy job to me but when i started, i faced some difficulties!

I have couple of lines in 2 different layers. first thing, i need to define the intersections of the lines in the grasshopper. then, having the intersection points, i need a rectangle on each point in a way that the point indicates the intersection point of the rectangle`s diameters.

first problem that i`ve faced, is while defining the intersection point of the 2 layers in grasshopper, it can find the points but 49 out of 50 of them are null!!..  why?!

Also, i need to know if there is any way that i can draw a rectangle in grasshopper by having its center ( intersections of diameters) ?

i`ve attached the files for your better understanding :)

any help would be really appreciated.

thanks

Hi Sam:

Try this and see if it is what you are looking for.

Hi Fernando,

Thank you so much for your reply, this is actually what i need except for that i need the intersection points to be in the center of the rectangles instead of the corners. ( as if they are the intersection of the diameters of the rectangles). would that be possible?

and other thing is i see you have selected the curves one by one, yes that works but the fact is that i need to run this definition for more than 1000 file! and that would not be possible!... thats why i tried to call the curves by their layers so that it can be readable in every other drawings..

Do you have any suggestions?

Again thank you for your great help.

Hi Sam,

You can add this little piece to have the rectangles centered on the points.

I didn't look at the other responses.  This may be redundant.
