Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone

i have a lofted surface in grasshopper and splited it to five parts. i want to create different grid lines on each part with subsurface command. but grasshopper do not create the grids on each five parts, the grids are creating for the primary lofted surface.

can anyone help me please?

The problem is that when you trim a surface, even though it has new edges, its NURBS origin means that it retains all of the information associated with its original form, including the UV domains.  So when you ask for a UV subsurface for each of your smaller cut-out surfaces, it still uses the parameters from the the original geometry.  Your best bet is probably to just divide your domains carefully so that you get the patches correct directly from your starting surface.  In this case, it's pretty easy to match the U values you want because you're lofting planar curves.
