Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all.

I've just tried downloadin some of the definition files from the rhino website to guide through the tutorials they offer, but My computer/Grasshopper does not seem to recognise them. Here is the URL you can access them from: http://wiki.mcneel.com/labs/explicithistory/examples

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Dave

To the right of the 'Download the definition file' it says: (made with version 0.2.0012)

Just to ask, are there any updates to these excellent examples reflecting the current state of the software?

They're nice illustrations and it would be a shame to lose them.

Also, since version 6 the legacy load command is not useful these definitions can't be recovered by us late comers.

You would have thought though, as each version is an upgrade on the previous, that they would still be able to be used on the later versions of GH.

Im guessing this is something I have to take up with the rhino website then . . .

I will let you know what I hear.

I don't think this is a Rhino issue. The file format of Grasshopper has changed at least twice since those example were made. This is because Grasshopper is still in development. Until version 1 is out, this may happen again.

You could perhaps download an old version of Grasshopper (or "Explicit History") and open the tutorial files. See this post:
