Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Grasshopper forum,

I am trying to make a model of Frei Ottos lattice dome at essen.

I am a beginner and do not fully understand how to manage my lists in order to create a continuous arc through a centre point. I have managed to achieve the underlying wireframe structure with a square plan - but when i use curve/curve intersection to achieve the points on a filleted square plan (as the structure used) the point values it returns are all 0,0,0,0,0,0,....instead of being sequential as returned when simply dividing a curve.

If anyone could take a look and point me in the right direction simply in terms of how to achieve a sequential list from these curve/curve intersections i would really appreciate some help!

cheers!

Chris

I would make a sphere, chop it in half, scale it if needed, then contour it in the two directions of the lattice.

Thanks Michael,

I have just realised also that if i flatten the intersections it achieves the sequential ordering, but i will also try the suggested method to see if it can save time/memory.

The reason i am approaching it this way is that the basic plan shape is more of a filleted square with flat edges and round corners than a circle.
