algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have just started using RhinoCommon to manipulate NURBS surfaces. My goal is to change location of control points but keep the continuity of the second derivative of the surface.

I tried that code: http://pastebin.com/ZZccuvnc

But the result is not satisfactory.

Is it possible to get smooth surface without kink ?

The problem is your base surface.

Spheres and circles are a special case of nurbs. They have different weights on control points. That's why there is a "deformable" option when you create a circle in rhino. It rebuilds the circle to an approximation of a circle, but then you can deform it without kinks. You just have to do the same with your sphere.

Hope it helps,

F.

Thank you for your quick reply. I am new in RhinoCommon. Can you explain what is the correct way to do it using SDK code?
