Constraint Distance, waiting for "loopability"?

Another stupid stuff. Why is so difficult constraint max / min distances? I guess it´s the same problem we founded in fixing volume / area, so... do we need autobake / autorreference / autoreplace GUID features ? Will be coming up next? Thanx!
