connecting the dots

ok
i think i have a simple problem here. Basically i am trying to connect some points with lines (this is basic) however I would like to have the lines offset but still be connected to the same points they were drawn from and have them bed away from the original line. I would also like to have the points act as attractor points that can control the amplitude of the offset.....that might have sounded strange so i have attached a pdf with a drawing trying to explain what i am getting at

hi Anna,
here is what you could do; as long as you know where your points are, you could use "arc 3pt" component just like in the file i've uploaded here.
