algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hello grasshoppers
I have made a chaotic structure from points and connecting lines in grasshopper. i would like to loft (or some similar action) these lines in order to make a solid object. but, the loft option detects points on the same plane and lofts everything together no matter how far apart they are, making a huge blob. i know there must be a way for loft to detect points which are too far apart and exclude them from the command, but i can't see how i can do this without scripting. it would be nice to somehow create a surface from these lines for further editing in grashopper (meaning i know i can manually create surfaces in rhino but i want a better method).
i attached the gh file as well as some images so you can better understand the issue.
thanks!
P.S. i tried mesh from curves in weaverbird, but it was erratic and choppy. and mesh delaney doesn't have the desired effect (makes it look like a castle)
