Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently working on a component that I want to panelize on a surface.

Sounds like an easy task, but the thing is that this component is based on some electro-magentic displacement and steam lines created with - JellyFish- thanks to - Daniel Picker's great definition.

After I've created the stream lines for the component, I piped them and tried in all sort of ways to panelize them on some parts of the surface, (using an attractor point). It's a really heavy component because for some reason its divided to really small pipes along the curves instead of on pipe for each curve. This results with only some parts of the component that are panelized on the surface, instead of the entire component, as a unified unit.

What can I do in order to fix that, and to have it panalyze this component the number of times needed on the surface, each time with the full component and not some of its parts?

And also, I tried to reduce the amount of data of the component, since its really heavy, and hard to work with, but nothing works.

I've added a snap shot so you can better understand my problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Limor
