so that i get a hose that is deployable...

basically i want a surface like on the picture attached that fills out the helix curve.
... cant be so hard ?

Try a dividing the helix to generate points. Use curve SDL with the direction set to the same axis as the helix to generate the section curves for a loft. The length of the curves should be the spacing in your helix. Then use a loft to generate the surface.
