Clamplength problem with SPC command

Hi!

I'm trying to replicate the object that you can see in the picture i've used triangular meshes and the command Scp to apply force where i want to and that's work but i want to more things:

1. the  first y need is restrict the distance between triangle's vertices, i've used clamplegth for this but it doesn't work. Can both command work together?

2. the second is about position of triangles, i'd prefer a more control position, more smooth, maybe by restricting the angles between then, i tried this too but it doesn't work in three dimension. I've tried to using grab to correct some vertices but it looks like doesn't work with SCP command.
