Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear All,

I am currently trying to loft between a set of curves, but I cannot get the list to align in order to do this properly. The weird thing is that the script that I have sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and I have no idea why.

I understand that the script wouldn't work if the tangents weren't aligned, but when I rebuild the tangents to align, the data list doesn't seem to follow it..... I'm massively confused! Is anyone able to shed some light onto this for me? I've added an image for clarity

Many thanks in advance!

Perhaps you can use the flip curve component and use one of the curves as a guide for the rest of them.

If that doesn't work I guess you would go into Rhino and analysis direction command and use flip as needed on all those curves.

i agree with JS .. you have to flip the curves in rhino first .. it's much easier

but if you insist on reversing the list in grasshopper instead .. you will have to switch the position of the (reverse list) and (flip matrix) .. because you was reversing each tree branch instead of reversing the whole tree .. that's it

You have all the ingredients in your rhino file to sort and clean up your geometry to apply your intended operations at the same time...have a look:

Please attach the definition David :)

okay :)

David - this is amazing, thanks ever so much for this! The repeated operations were becoming very tiresome (I'm terrible at consolidating script). I am attempting to repeat your script now :-)

Thanks ever so much for the amazing response! Peter, JS - Flipping the curve in Rhino worked a dream, no idea why I didn't think of that myself. Many thanks for the Grasshopper tip though!
