broken curves when unrolling/unfolding

any idea why my interior arcs/lines on a surface break when unrolling them? the arcs were originally built as holes within a doubly curved surface that is flattened onto the plane by the component. I've tried both FabTools unroller and the unfold component, and both yield the same result.
