algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone.

I would like to intersect a panel with a gyroid box, in order to get a perforated facade.

I'm using Millipede for the gyroid form and then Weaverbird to smoothen it and to give it a thickness.

However, the intersection is not quite what it should be. I am having an empty space in the middle. Is this because the volumes are not actually solid, but just empty?

Hi.

To me, in this case, "Mesh Split" is more reliable than "Mesh Intersection".

Thank you Hyongsoo. Would you know the theory behind it?

Sometimes mesh boolean operation caused an unexpected glitch and not more precise than "Solid Intersection" as in especially complex mesh.

Ok thanks.
