bake pwidths based on distance for orthographic elevation?

Im using Giulio Piacentino bake attributes component to get pwidths and I'm wondering if there is a way to set up a distance parameter and bake pwidths for an elevation. I tried it and came up successful in the layer "lines" but was left with a huge wire-frame mess. Thinking that i can make2d with the surfaces on, I tried to make2d again but the layer "lines" did not show up throughout the elevation. Ultimately, I want to end up with a flat drawing with thick pwidths indicating what's close and thin pwidths indicating what is far. Also, I would like to know if there is a better approach to this process.
