Attractor field and explode

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how pattern with attractor points so that a line in the attractor instead of points. I then want these points map to a surface in which the line corresponds to the given surface. So basically I have a series of strips of polysurfaces that I want to apply an attractor point by using a line as the attractor. 

Also does anyone know how to offset a series of meshes, so that they appear to be exploded out in all directions?
