Asymmetrical Revolve Ribbing

Hey Guys. I am stuck. I am need to build this model for a project and I was going to rib out this form with grasshopper and cut the pieces on the laser cutter. But I can't get the ribbing to work. I think its because the UV are always parallel to a XYZ plane...Is there there away to force the UV to always be straight? If you have any idea how to help me it would be greatly appreciated...or I'm going to have to find another way to build this thing sadly.
